The 10th African Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference (10th AYGEC) will be held in Lagos, Nigeria at the University of Lagos from 26th to 29th April, 2026.The event will give opportunity to Young Member Presidential Group (YMPG) and Young Geotechnical Engineers from Africa and other ISSMGE Regions to meet, interract, share experiences, and present their work to their fellow Geotechnical Engineers. The main theme of the conference is “Innovations and best practices in Geotechnical Engineering for African development”

The program of the conference will include:

• - Invited lectures/keynote speeches
• - Technical presentations
• - Poster Challenge
• - Social Program including folcloric matters
• - Technical Tour (EKO Atlantic) 

Abstract submissions open : May, 2025

• Deadline for Submission of Abstracts: 30th July, 2025
• Intimation of Acceptance of Abstracts:15th August, 2025
• First Full paper Submission: 30th October, 2025
• Corrected papers back to authors: 30th November, 2025
• Final Paper submission: 28th February, 2026
• Conference Date: 26th -29th April, 2026
