We wish to inform all corporate members who are eligible and have satisfied the requirements below for the Fellowship of the Institution to kindly apply. Application for the conferment of “Fellow of NIGE” for this year shall close on Thursday, October 31, 2024. GUIDELINES FOR FELLOWSHIP CONFERMENT: The conferment of “Fellow” of the Institution shall either be by invitation of the Executive Council of the Institution or by normal application by a member to the Executive Secretary,NIGE who shall inturn refer such application to the Board of Fellows of the Institution. Each fellowship candidate shall complete an Application form to be issued by the Secretariat or obtained and filled online via NIGE’s website: https://nige.org.ng/ • FELLOWSHIP BY NORMAL APPLICATION. A person applying for the Fellowship of the Institution shall have not less than fifteen (15years) experience in the practice of Geotechnical Engineering. In addition, he/she shall meet the following conditions:- i) Must be a Corporate Member of the Institution for a minimum of 10years with active participation at AGMs and meetings at Chapter level. ii) Have rendered valuable and selfless service to the Institution over some time. iii) Should be versed and experienced in the field of Geotechnical engineering iv) Obtain a letter from his/her chapter testifying to his/her active participation at the Chapter level or from the Executive General Secretary where there is no Chapter existing in his town or State of operation . . .
